Our Fleet

    The American Eagle fleet comprises four types of modern jets Bombardier CRJ 700, Embraer 135, Embraer 140 and Embraer 145 as well as the jet-powered turboprop aircraft Super ATR. American Eagle's aircraft feature many of the amenities found on American Airlines jetliners, including overhead storage for carry-on bags, reclining seats, and inflight service. A highly trained flight attendant is on every American Eagle flight for customer service and safety.


    American Eagle Airlines follows AAdvantage, a frequent flyer program offered by American Airlines. The largest regional air carrier, through its loyalty program, provides its customers with several benefits with the miles one has accumulated. Offerings such as redeemable tickets, upgrading to service class, obtaining free or discounted car rentals, inexpensive hotel stays, merchandise sale, and other products and services through partners are what one can avail through the program. The most active members, based on the amount and price of travel booked, are designated AAdvantage Gold, AAdvantage Platinum, and AAdvantage Executive Platinum privileges such as separate check-in, priority upgrade and standby processing, or free upgrades.


    SKYTRAX 2012 World Airlines Awards names American Eagle among the ‘Best Domestic Airlines’ category.
    In 2011, American Eagle was named winner of the Best Regional Airline North America award at the 2011 World Airline Awards, in a ceremony held in the French Air and Space Museum at the Paris Air Show.
    Also, in February 2011, American Eagle employees at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) celebrated a customer service victory this week as the airline announced the top five airports to be honored for improved customer experience and innovative problem solving for the fourth quarter of 2010.
