In what seems to be our best ever year of winning awards, we've now got two new additions to our growing collection!
The winners of the 2009 OAG Airline Industry Awards were recently announced and Virgin Atlantic secured two prestigious titles: 'Best Airline Based in Western Europe', beating the likes of British Airways, Air France and Lufthansa; and 'Best Transatlantic Airline', outshining nearest rivals Continental and United Arlines.
Now in its 27th anniversary year, the OAG Airline Industry Awards are hugely significant and valued in the airline industry because the awards are voted for by frequent flyers all over the world.
We've also managed to attract a few appreciative pats on the back in the form of the massive independent Zagat survey.
